Classes & Events FAQ
WHERE ARE THE CLASSES HELD?
All classes (unless stated otherwise) are held at our flower farm in Liberty, NC 27298. Upon registration, students will receive detailed parking information and instructions on how to find the farm.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS BAD?
Classes run rain or shine. If rain is in the forecast for your scheduled class day, please be prepared by bringing an umbrella and/or rain boots. All floral design demonstrations/workshops will be held in our open-air workshop. In case of severe weather, classes may be rescheduled or canceled. Students will be notified in advance as much as possible, and refunds will be issued, as needed, if Poe Family Farm chooses to cancel a class.
WHAT ARE THE CLASS SIZES?
We keep class sizes limited to 12. This creates an intimate and enjoyable experience, allowing us to provide individual instruction for every participant. Ten students must be signed up for a class/event/tour to run.
CAN I CHANGE OR EXCHANGE MY CLASS?
We do not permit any changes or exchanges. Our operation is very small, and our system cannot accommodate tracking changes.
CAN I GET A REFUND FOR MY TICKET?
All ticket sales are final. If you cannot make your scheduled time slot, please feel free to gift it to a friend to take your spot. There will be no refunds.
THE CLASS IS SOLD OUT. CAN YOU ADD ONE MORE SEAT?
Unfortunately, we cannot add seats to classes. We maintain small class sizes to enhance participant enjoyment and provide ample individual instruction. Please do not buy a ticket with the hopes of bringing additional guests. We cannot accommodate extra seating, and tickets will not be refunded or exchanged.
CAN I BRING MY CHILD OR LOVED ONES TO THE CLASS?
Each ticket is for one attendee only. Please do not bring children and other family members unless they have a ticket. Children must be 14 years or older to participate. We use sharp tools that are not appropriate for younger children to use. Mothers are welcome to bring nursing babies.
DO YOU HOLD PRIVATE CLASSES?
We do offer private classes, but only on a limited basis. Please contact us to discuss available options and to make arrangements.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR OR BRING TO THE CLASS?
Please dress comfortably for the weather and keep in mind that you are coming to a working farm. If you'd like to bring gardening gloves, a water bottle, or any other item to feel more comfortable during class, please feel free to do so. We highly recommend wearing closed-toe shoes if you plan on touring the fields. Please note that our open-air workshop space is not climate-controlled. We recommend dressing appropriately for the current weather conditions.
