Poe Family Farm

Seasonal Blooms Grown in NC

Meet the Farmers

Lindsey and Robert Poe have been nurturing Poe Family Farm since 2014. Over the years, they’ve explored many paths, but their true passion blossomed in flowers. Today, they focus on growing seasonal blooms that reflect their love for the land and dedication to farming.

I’m Lindsey—a flower farmer inspired by the Piedmont landscape and generations of gardeners before me. I learned to love flowers alongside my grandmother, a Master Gardener who showed me how blooms can spark connection, joy, and beauty in everyday moments. Today, my focus is on growing high-quality, seasonal flowers and building systems that support local agriculture. Through our work on the farm and with NC Rooted Community Agriculture, I’m passionate about connecting farmers, food, and community in meaningful, lasting ways.

I’m Robert. I’ve always loved working the land, and our farm is where we grow our family, our flowers, and a life rooted in hard work and care. Farming brings its challenges, but there’s nothing better than the satisfaction of working with my hands, being outdoors, and watching each season unfold. Every day on the farm is a chance to stay connected to the land and pass on lessons about dedication, patience, and the simple joys of life.

What We Do

Poe Family Farm is a wholesale-focused flower farm. Our focus is on growing and supplying high-quality, locally grown flowers.

Farm Practices

We grow our flowers with care and intention, using sustainable practices that honor the land and each season. Every stem is harvested at its peak and carefully handled to ensure the freshest, longest-lasting blooms.

What We Grow

Our flowers change with the seasons but often include dahlias, zinnias, sunflowers, snapdragons, and other field-grown favorites, along with greenery and textured elements.

Our Growing Season

Our peak growing season runs from May through late October. We also use high tunnels to extend the season and support early and late production. Our offerings shift throughout the year based on what is naturally in bloom.

Why Local?

Most cut flowers sold in the U.S. are imported and travel long distances before reaching the customer. Locally grown flowers are fresher, last longer, and support farmers in your own community.
