Photography Rental FAQ
Thank you for considering Poe Family Farm for your photography session! We know you will capture some beautiful moments among our specialty blooms. Please take a moment to read the following to ensure a wonderful and safe experience.
CAN WE USE YOUR FLOWER FIELDS FOR A PHOTO SESSION?
Yes! We have one-hour blocks available on the hour.
WHAT IF IT RAINS AT MY SESSION TIME?
Please reach out to us in advance. We will offer rescheduled appointments for inclement weather; however, it must be actively raining during your booked time spot. We do not allow reschedules if rains prior to your timeslot and the grounds are still damp. You will find that our flower fields are not hard to get around in and are not generally too muddy.
WHAT IF I MISS MY APPOINTMENT?
You can reschedule your appointment up to 1 hour before. We do not offer refunds for missed appointments.
DO YOU GIVE REFUNDS?
We do not give refunds.
WHAT IF I’M NOT A PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHER, OR I DON'T HAVE A PROFESSIONAL CAMERA?
Currently, we only offer the farm for professional photographers with business liability insurance.
WHAT IF MY CLIENTS CANCEL AT THE LAST MINUTE?
We offer reschedules online within 1 hour before. We do not offer refunds for cancellations or missed appointments.
CAN I HAVE MINI-SESSIONS?
No, mini sessions are not allowed.
CAN I FLY MY DRONE?
No, drones are not allowed.
CAN I ARRIVE EARLY TO SCOPE OUT SHOT LOCATIONS?
We do not allow early access. There may be another photographer out in the fields with their client before your session and this could be a disruption. Please do not arrive any earlier than 10 minutes before your session.
WHAT IS THERE TO TAKE PICTURES OF?
There are so many gorgeous photo opportunities here on the farm. We grow a lot of flowers in a lot of colors and varieties. To get a good idea of what is in bloom during different times of the year, we recommend checking out our Instagram postings. Please note, however, that this is a working flower farm and some flowers may vary, depending on the weather and time of year.
WHAT COLORS OF FLOWERS WILL YOU HAVE IN BLOOM?
We grow a large mixture of flowers and varieties. Our flower farm features the largest amount of blooms during the months of June through October. Please keep in mind, that we cannot guarantee any particular flower will be blooming.
WHAT IF I’M RUNNING LATE OR OVER MY ALLOTTED RENTAL TIME WITH MY CLIENTS?
Please be respectful of your reserved time slot and plan accordingly. We may have another photographer lined up before or after your scheduled appointment.
DO I NEED BUSINESS LIABILITY INSURANCE TO RENT YOUR FARM FOR PHOTOGRAPHY?
Yes. We require the photographers who rent our farm to carry a business liability insurance umbrella policy.
CAN I BRING MY PETS OR A CLIENT’S PETS?
While we love all animals, we ask that you please keep your pets at home. We have several dogs and cats on our farm and visiting animals can be a disruption. Service animals are allowed, but please let us know ahead of time so we can make sure our pets are up.
CAN I PICK FLOWERS FOR MY SHOOT?
We ask that you do not pick the flowers and please be mindful not to step on them. If you need flowers for your shoot, please contact us to purchase them ahead of time.
